It's a little known fact that most digital photographs need some sort of sharpening to have them looking perfectly focused. In this tutorial I'll be looking at how Photoshop produces the sharpening effect, as well as how the Sharpen, Sharpen Edges, Sharpen More and the Unsharp Mask filters work.

An excellent series. However the link to 'squares.jpg' zip file doesn't seem to be working. When I download it get an error on trying to open it with both Windows Extract and 7Zip. I know it isn't really important but I thought you might like to know. All the rest work fine.

I think it may have been caused by a capitalization error on the server, I fixed it and things seem to be working again. Let me know if you find different?
