A few weeks ago I stepped down from my position of moderator at photoshopforums.com to focus on other things including writing and recording more tutorials for this site. During my 27 months at PhotoshopForums.com I wrote 13 quick-fire tutorials for the Tutorials and Featured Tips section, some of them, I'm pleased to say, receiving over 5000 views.

As the first ever world cup kicked off in South Africa last week, 3photoshop.com was celebrating a moment of history too - albeit on a smaller and slightly less physical note, our 100th tutorial!

A couple of weeks ago I booked a weeks’ holiday in Tobago, then, without warning, some volcano in Iceland decided to erupt resulting in the UK and other European countries closing their air space. The saga began as an understandable reaction to some kind of volcanic dust entering our skies and ended with the longest and most expensive grounding of flights in European history.

Only this morning I was out walking when an elderly gentlemen stopped me and asked if I could direct him towards Long Melford. It being a town only 20 minutes from where I live, and one I regularly drive through while on my way to Portman Road (the home of my favourite football team) I immediately suggested he turn his car around, take a left at the mini-roundabout, follow the road for around 3 miles until he sees a signpost for Clare, take the left and keep going until he cruises down a big old hill and into the town of Long Melford.

Today, Sunday 14 March 2010, saw our 100th person become a fan of the official 3photoshop.com fan page on Facebook.
Having launched on 21 October 2009, I have to say I'm immensely proud of attracting that many fans in the space of 144 days, especially considering that after a relatively slow start we saw 72 people become fans inside the last 72 days, indicating that as we grow, the rate of fans clicking on that little 'become a fan' button has grown too.

Hi there!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there a happy holiday season and a successful 2010!

Over the last few weeks I've been busily compressing our entire quicktime video collection to flash. Even though there's no change to the size, the collection itself, or the way they play on the site, I figured for full disclosure of what the site is going through (aka a site blog), I'd keep you updated on the latest why's and how's. For the technical stuff, read on.

Just over 3 weeks ago I posted a November update to my Youtube channel, today, as we head towards mid December, I thought I'd add it to the site just in case any of you missed it.
Essentially it's a quick promotional video for 3photoshop.com. It runs for just over a minute, and quickly explains how you get to the site, what's here when you arrive, the benefits of registering and information about our Facebook and Twitter pages.
I've embedded the video below.
Enjoy!
