Happy Holidays 2009

Hi there!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there a happy holiday season and a successful 2010!

Haverhill Road, StaplefordIt's thanks to you that 3photoshop.com has been a success in 2009, and as we head through the holiday season and into the New Year, I wanted to offer my sincere thanks to everyone who stopped by to watch a video, read a post or do something that added value to the site. In a nutshell, whatever you did and are hopefully still doing - thanks for the support, I appreciate it!

As I look back, it amazes me how far we've come. We've managed to redesign and redevelop the site, add functionality in the way of forums, blogs, polls and a tips and tricks section. We've added the ability for users to register and open accounts to interact more personally, receive newsletters and alerts of new tutorials, and discuss them with each other and myself. If 2009 is remembered for one thing it can only be the web development side of the operation, something I'm very proud to have worked on and completed alone, something that's just about where my vision hoped it would be 18 months ago.

Although new content hasn't been as regular as I'd have hoped, there's still a lot to be 'getting on with'. As I write this we have 88 video tutorials with a total running time of 15 hours, 33 minutes and 59 seconds - all for free. We have 4 text based tutorials in our tips and tricks section, 8 blog posts (including this one) and we have 16 topics and 57 posts in our user forums. More than this, I believe 2010 will be remembered for content, new videos, helpful tips and tricks and practical information and demonstrations that will help us all to become better at what we love doing! I'm going to go ahead and say that I'll be disappointed with myself if I've not added at least one new piece of content every week, so watch this space.

In the coming week you'll see the release of two more video tutorials - the History Panel and the History Brush. I'm also hoping to have the source videos for my Beginner's Guide to Photoshop Elements series (at a definition of 1024x760 pixels) available for download and sale on eBay. If that's successful then I'll look at releasing the series I recorded on levels.... possibly followed by some exclusives, but we'll see.

In the meantime, I'd like to thank you personally once again for registering and therefore supporting the site, please help as much as you can by recommending us to a friend or passing on our information over the web. The more people that come to the site - the more tutorials I can make!

And on a final note, I get a lot of emails asking questions and giving feedback to my tutorials and the website in general - please keep 'em rolling, good or bad, as these really help me improve the site.

Once again, happy holidays and I'll see you in 2010!!
